The talk will discuss my collaboration with Karin Michalski on “The Alphabet of Feeling Bad” by placing it in the context of other art projects that facilitate the sharing of public feelings, as well as exploring how it provides access to scholarly work on political affect, such as my book Depression: A Public Feeling. I will also consider the relevance of the concept of “political depression” at the current moment and across different national and transnational contexts.
